What includes a Pre-Purchase Examination Sporthorses at eDigit Mobile Vetting ?

Full documentation: written report, high quality radiographs and ultrasounds and on request videotape
of the dynamic examination.

Static examination: inspection, palpation, confirmation, foot-balance and mobilisation
reflexes of the axial skeleton

Dynamic examination: walk on alternating circles and a straight line; trot on a straight line
and lunging on a hard surface; trot and canter lunging soft surface; flexion tests

Radiographic examination:
 standard approach for international Pre-Purchase Examination (PPE) (34):
* Distal extremities: frontlimbs navicular area LM, DPr-PaDiO and skyline projection;
* All fetlocks LM, DP, DMO and DLO projections 
* Carpus: LM and DP projections
* Hocks: LM, DP, DMO and DLO projections 
* Stifles: LM and CdCr projections
* If indicated or on request: complementary projections, like full axial skeleton (occiput-T1 and
spinal processus T6-L5)
Naturally on request an other set of x-rays can be made. For example, your own veterinarian can send us his request.

Ultrasonographic examination: If indicated or on request, like suspensories, stifles or a
transrectal exam of the lumbosacral area

Laryngoscopic examination: upper airways, video documented

Bloodwork: on request samples can be taken for health screening, drug testing and/or
export purposes

Appointments
Our two PPE dedicated veterinarians are Dr. van den Brink (Tamara) and Dr. Geerts (Alfons).
They are both approved PPE veterinarians by the Dutch Veterinary
Association. We advice you to let your own veterinarian contact them upfront the PPE.
